De Religionis

Though it probably makes me a traitor to both camps, I still can't see why religion and science are so incompatible.

  1. There really is no such thing as a traitor to evolution. All's it is is the assertion that change over time happens. It's not a camp, just an acknowledgment that the amount of biodiversity we encounter today is a result of some kind of natural process. Whether or not some sort of God created the mechanisms by which this happens is not in question, but religious fundamentalists seem to want to put "God" and "Science" as two opposing factions simply because they are so used to thinking in terms of "good" and "evil" or "love" and "hate" when really those are only social tags placed upon distinctively human emotions or behaviors.
